Step One Speak To Us

We’re here to get you on the right path and support you through the initial phases of your foster caring experience. Get in touch with us via phone, email or live chat and we’ll be happy to have an honest conversation and assess whether fostering is the right choice for you.

When you’d like to discuss fostering, a member of our Fostering Link team will talk you through the process and you’ll be able to ask any questions you might have. When you’re ready to progress your application you can arrange an initial home visit.

Step Two Home Visit

Our fist home visit is there so we can get to know you better but also for you to meet us, too.

It’s a great opportunity to discuss any queries your confusions you may have about the process or what fostering will entail. We’ll be able to share candid information and ensure you feel informed about the ins and outs of fostering.

We’ll also highlight the varied circumstances that lead a child into foster care, as well as why it’s such an important and rewarding endeavour.

This leads on to a short assessment of the spaces in your home to establish how a young person will benefit from living there, including the bedroom that your foster child will have exclusive access to.

We’ll also want to understand more about you and your immediate family to ensure that we can support with your application to the fullest effect.
